Google Authority Status
Javea Casas joined us in 2006 looking to improve their website, increase their rankings on search engines, and of course sell more properties!
We got to work straight away, providing easy to use tools for adding content, and making the website more user friendly, as well as opening it up to search engines.
In the first 3 months we managed to jump the site from page 3 and 4 positions to page 1 for all of their targeted terms. As we continued to improve the website, the rankings steadily climbed, to the point that we have now been enjoying page 1 position 1 rankings on Google for over 20 of their biggest key terms for the past 18 months.
We’re not done yet, and we have lots of exciting additions to make to the site including a brand new design, so its great at this stage to receive a virtual pat on the back from Google themselves in the form of “Authority Status”.
What is Authority Status?
Authority status is a term coined by the search engine optimisation industry, and is generally associated with websites that not only rank in the first position for their major key terms, but also have superior content and usability than any other site in the market, culminating in a very high level of trust with Google that you are by far the best resource for their users on your subject.
This is rewarded in the form of several additional links under the site listing on search engines, as illustrated below:
Only a very small number of the top ranking sites in their respective market achieve this.
This results in a higher click through rate from users searching for our subject, and gives them direct links into the specific areas of the website, as well as solidifying our position on the top of the search engines.
We will continue to improve usability, content and all other aspects of the website, and hope that we can really make the most of our position, and help our client sell lots of properties!
